(There will be a $1.95 Paypal convenience fee for a total of $56.95. Also, as Paypal will not allow "gambling" payments, I had to set up a "mock" website that sells trophies, so disregard that content and just know that your payment will be applied to the entry fee.)

First games are on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 and the deadline is 5 minutes before game time of the first game. If you are new to the pool, send me an email with your name, email address you want to use, and who told you about the pool.

Details:
The entry fee is $55. The money will be distributed to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The percentages are 50%, 30%, and 20% respectively with an admin fee of $5 per entry. The contest is basically the same as in the regular season Pick-Em Pool (pick the winners and the 3 persons with the most upon completion of the Superbowl are the winners), except that we DO NOT drop your lowest week in this one and there is no prize for last place. It is strictly a matter of those who get the most wins.

There are 11 games through the Superbowl. Historically, 8 or 9 wins is victorious (usually a few people tie with 8). Be sure to read the all-important tiebreaker info listed below. The point spreads for the first week's games should be posted by Wednesday evening (preceding the first games on Saturday) and the form to fill out is the same and should be familiar to all of you.

The $55 payment is due UPFRONT (mailing address is below) and will only be accepted until prior to the start of the second week's games.

Explore the website, read the rules, provide feedback, requests, or questions. Late submissions will NOT be accepted, so make sure you are aware of when to get your picks in.

You are invited to recruit new members into the pool. If you know someone who might be interested in playing, and you can vouch for them, please feel free to forward this website address to them.

Email reminders to meet deadlines are planned, but the responsibility to get your picks in on time falls directly on YOU. Because I do my utmost to post information on the website with everyone's picks prior the start of the first games for each week, the entry deadlines must be adhered to.

Tie Breakers:
For the Superbowl game, you must not only pick the winner but must also pick the number of points each team will score respectively. The tiebreaker is ONLY the differential between the respective scores you pick and the actual scores and is NOT the typical total points scored between the two teams. The smaller the differential the better. For example, in a past Superbowl, the score was DEN 34 ATL 19. If you had picked DEN 30 and ATL 21, you would have had a differential of 6 pts (4 pts from the DEN score and 2 pts from the ATL score). The person you tied with picked DEN 38 ATL 13, this person has differential of 10 pts (4 pts from the DEN score and 6 pts from the ATL score). Player One wins. This is a better tie-breaker than just going with a combined total score as you may notice that both players in my example had the same combined score, however Player One was closer to the actual scores of each team. There is no second tiebreaker- the money will be split evenly amongst those who tied.
